TASK 4
If I were you, ....

Selles ülesandes algavad kõik laused väljendiga "If I were you, I'd .....". ("Sinu asemel ma ..." - ebatõenäoline, sest sa ju ei saa olla teine inimene.)  Valige õige tegevus harjutuse ülaosast, mida teie selles olukorras selle inimese asemel teeksite.
Juhin teie tähelepanu, et tavaliselt peaks lihtminevikus I kõrval olema was (I was...), aga tingimuslausetes on selles osas erand, ning lause "Kui mina oleksin sina/sinu asemel" algab "If I were you".

NB! If-pool lausest, kui ta on lause alguses, on teisest poolest eraldatud komaga. Kui ta on lause lõpuosas, siis tema ees koma ei kasutata.

Year 8: Conditionals (tingimuslaused) (Friday, 27 March)

Today's topic is Conditionals (tingimuslaused).

Tingimuslaused on keeleteaduse mõttes laused "kui...., siis ..." konstruktsiooniga.
"Kui" pooles on tingimus ja "siis" pooles on, mis järgneb siis, kui see tingimus on täidetud.

Tingimuslauseid on 4 tüüpi: 0, I, II ja III.

0 tüüpi tingimuslauset (the zero conditional) kasutatakse olukordade kohta, mis on üldiselt või alati tõesed. (If you touch fire, you get burned.)
0 tüüpi tingimuslause mõlemas pooles kasutatakse present simple (lihtolevik) ajavormi.

I tüüpi tingimuslauset (the first conditional) kasutatakse olukordade kohta, milles tingimuse täitumine on tõenäoline ja tingimuse kehtimisel tagajärje järgnemine on reaalne ja võimalik. (If/When I get any new information, I will let you know.)
I tüüpi tingimuslause puhul on "kui" pooles present simple (lihtolevik) ja tagajärje/tulemuse pooles future simple (lihttulevik - will+1.pv).

II tüüpi tingimuslauset (the second conditional) kasutatakse olukordade kohta, milles tingimus on ebareaalne ning sellest tulenevalt tagajärjed on kujuteldavad või võimatud. (If I had the key, I would open the door.)
II tüüpi tingimuslause puhul on "kui" pooles past simple (lihtminevik) ajavorm ja tagajärje/tulemuse pooles future simple in the past (would+1.pv).

III tüüpi tingimuslauset (the third conditional) kasutatakse olukordade kohta, mis on juba juhtunud ja mille kohta tehakse oletusi stiilis, et mis oleks võinud olla kui oleks tehtud teistsuguseid otsuseid või olukord oleks olnud teistsugune.
Nimetagem seda "tagantjärele tarkuseks". (If I had studied more, I wouldn't have failed my exam.)
III tüüpi tingimusmääruslauses on "kui" pooles past perfect (had+3.pv) ning tagajärje/tulemuse pooles future perfect in the past (would have + 3. pv).

TASK 1
Reading comprehension.

a) Go to https://www.learnenglish.de/games/reading/readaccount.html.
b) Read the text, choose the correct answers to all the 10 questions.
Loe tekst läbi ja vali õiged vastused kõrval olevatele 10-le küsimusele. Iga küsimuse vastamise järel ilmub pop-up aken, kus tuleb vajutada OK, et test sinu vastust arvestaks. Seejärel valida uus küsimus. - Või võid ka vajutada kõrval nuppu "Show all questions" (siis näitab kõik 10 küsimust korraga ekraanil ja saad kiiremini vastata).
(NB! Test on aja peale. Aega on 5 minutit. Kui esimese korraga selle ajaga valmis ei jõua, tehke refresh ning tehke seda testi nii mitu korda kui vaja (jätke õiged vastused meelde), et saada kõik 10 vastust õigesti ja nii, et testi päises kontrollriba seda ka ütleb. d) Take a photo of your answers and send it to your teacher.
